Router Mikrotik merupakan perangkat router multifungsi yang salah satu fiturnya adalah User Manager.User Manager dapat digunakan untuk mengatur pengguna yang tidak terpengaruh oleh pemadaman listrik karena menggunakan prosedur yang berbeda dari Chilispot.Pengguna dapat kembali mengakses internet tanpa perlu login lagi setelah terjadi pemadaman listrik.Pada penelitian ini, penulis mengganti Chilispot dengan User Manager Mikrotik pada Gedung Teknik UNIPA untuk melihat peran Mikrotik dalam mengatasi permasalahan pada Chilispot. Pengguna harus melaporkan ke UPT Pusat Komputer atau menunggu untuk diresetkan status login. Bila terjadi pemadaman listrik, status pengguna akan terus tercatat sedang online sehingga tidak dapat melakukan login setelah listrik menyala. Dalam implementasi Chilispot yang berada disisi klien, pengguna sering mengeluhkan proses loginkembali setelah terjadi pemadaman listrik yang cukup sering di UNIPA. Jaringan Internet Universitas Negeri Papua (UNIPA) saat ini menggunakan Chilispot dan RADIUS Server sebagai aplikasi User Manager untuk mengatur pengguna yang memanfaatkan fasilitas internet.
